TPG League Registration - Season 2
This program is designed to acclimatize new teams to TPG and prepare them for Season 2. Veteran players (trainers) from teams like Omni, SASC, and Vanguard will attend your team's practices and offer advice on organization, coordination, strategy/tactics, and dueling. More specifically, trainers may:
- Direct your team's practice (if so desired) to demonstrate efficient and effective training methods.
- Identify through discussion and observation various team weaknesses. Offer opinions on how those weaknesses might be mitigated or corrected (may tie into directing the team's practice).
- Discuss the strategic and tactical approaches taken by their own team, and provide examples.
- Provide dueling practice and analysis.
- Run smaller 2v2 or 3v3 scrims to improve team coordination and establish small-group tactics.
- Run mixed scrims with members of their team and yours. Mixing members will allow your team members to experience the communication and coordination exhibited by top-tier Hawken teams.
- Respect any rules established by the clan being helped (TeamSpeak language/behaviour regulations, time restraints, etc.)
- Remember that you're there to help, not for your own amusement. Bear in mind the needs of the team that you're helping.
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude. Keep your emotions in check, and do not descend into name-calling or ego-driven behaviour.
- Mind your wording. Present advice as advice, not as an order. Consider the feelings of the people that you're helping.
- Any team-related, training disputes are to be brought to the TPG Hawken Admins (Nept, Ashfire, Xacius, Craftydus, Daronicus, KejiGoto, and Leonhardt). Refrain from taking action against the team in question.
- “Don't be a dick” - JC (thanks, hestoned)
Because we don't want to overload schedules, we're integrating this program into TAW's War Wednesdays and Weezl3's Fun Friday's. Some trainers will always be available during those scheduled times (9 EST on Wednesday and Friday), and we will ensure that there's an empty private server. Trainer teams (i.e., Omni, SASC, and Vanguard) will also make themselves available for Mixed Scrims on these evenings (whenever possible).
Teams seeking guidance from this program will show up to these events to receive helm from trainers, get scrims, and meet other people involved with TPG in a friendly yet competitive environment. By signing up for this program you are not, of course, required to attend every event. However, in order to receive help from a trainer, you are responsible for contacting them and scheduling an availability slot.
Alternatively, some trainers and teams can be scheduled by appointment. You may contact them, establish a time, and have them arrive at your practice. In order to reduce disruptions, all training sessions will take place on private servers.
